Since we enabled SMTP auth on our smtp servers, please follow the below recommended settings when setting up the email client.

The settings you need to enter in to your email client software after (Microsoft Outlook, OutlookExpress, Netscape Email etc) you have created your Exetel email account(s) are:

  • 'Username: yourmailbox@exemail.com.au (NOT @exeTEL.com.au)
  • Password: yourpassword
  • Incoming Mail server:pop3.[state].exemail.com.au
  • Mailbox type: POP3
  • Incoming Mail Port:110
  • SSL/TLS: ON
  • Outgoing Mail server:

* With Exetel IP, can use our smtp server

smtp.[state].exemail.com.au without smtp authentication configuration.

* With non-Exetel IPs, or any Exetel IP if needs to use smtp authentication configuration, couple of things need to configure

Username: exemail address
