ADSL/PSTN Services

If you have only the DSL service with us and the PSTN is with another provider, you should either relocate your existing PSTN to the new location or activate a new PSTN at the new location and then place a relocation via the members facility.

Can I keep my telephone number if I relocate my ADSL 1/2 service?

If you relocate to an address which is serviced by the same exchange then the FNN can be retained at the new address, however if the new address is serviced by a different exchange then the telephone number (FNN) will not be retained. In this instance a new number is assigned.

If I move houses and move my telephone service will the ADSL 1/2 service with Optus/Telstra/AAPT work?

If you have a bundle service with us, then you will need to place a relocation via the members facility for us to process the relocation.

What if the relocation request for my ADSL 1/2 service via Optus/Teltra/AAPT is rejected?

Rejection for your relocation request could be due to many reasons, and should act accordingly to find an alternative. It is recommended that you contact Exetel and get further advice.
